As the technicians worked the final details of the Stargate programing and resetting things, John called over Matsson and Carter as Chief Larsen was next to him. They stood about 50 feet off the side of the gate room to a hall way left of the gate. Once the four were alone, John rested his hands on the butt of the P90 that was clipped to his vest.

"Alright, so we don't know one another that we'll," he started off as he looked at the gunnery sergeant. "But do you want to tell us what that display of child like attitude was up there? Did you just resign your enlistment during a top secret briefing with an Alien guest and General and every active team we got?"

Master Chief Larsen was stood behind the Colonel with his arms crossed. It was the only sign that he was annoyed. Of course Raynor was the Gunny's direct commander so Larsen was happy to only lend his support rather than chew Matsson out himself, and depending on how this went it was possible he would do so later at any rate.

Carter had no clue why she was here. Matsson wasn't in her team and as far as she knew she wasn't the deputy commander of gate personal, and had no intention to become so.

"I didn't resign sir. I removed the ranks because I wanted to address my feelings as a civilian. Those bars have standards and what I was going to say wouldn't be fit for them. I gave them to you so you could choose to either give them back or keep them after what I wanted to say was said." Lucas said calmly. To him it made total sense, then again being a swede, he had been told he was an acquired taste to interact with. Not that he cared that much.

"You know, I have never heard of a military regulation that allows you to change statuses because of you aren't feeling up to holding your military bearings. Whether you wear your uniform or not, you are still active duty. You don't see special operations personal under cover break military bearings I less mission required it. What you did was telling everyone that you were resigning. If you have something to say, it's as simple as saying 'permission to speak freely not having a temper tantrums," the Colonel explained before looking at the chief and nodded to allow him to speak his mind.

"Would you let me speak my mind back there sir?" Lucas asked calmly, he didn't dispute what was being said. He would take it and deal with it if needed.

"Pour choice if words..." the colonel cocked his head but mentally reminded himself that this man was not of the same culture. "Permission to speak freely? Permission granted, Sergeant. "

"I have nothing more to say sir. I happily take what ever you chose to do. I won't dig the hole any deeper and I was raised with the notion that you sleep in the bed you make." Lucas said calmly he was at-ease and calm. His sister had been the rock he had needed back there and he had found himself again.

There was a long pause before John shook his head. He wasn't sure as to why ask to speak, only to say this. That wasn't what he really expect. "Chief your turn. You want to speak your thoughts and expectations for the enlisted under this command?"

Larsen took a moment to consider. "I have nothing else to add to this Colonel. The Gunny has had enough time to consider his action" while his tone was calm and level his manner was clear. "I would like to add that despite the Gunny's recent actions he would be idea to fill the void in SG4." Larsen glanced at the Colonel, "If that is acceptable Colonel?" he asked "SG4 has a lack of combat capability."

"Yeah that works," John nodded as he looked over at the SG4 Leader. "What do you say, half pint?"

Carter narrowed her eyes at the colonel, surely debating the bets way to hide his body after she was done. She then glanced at the Gunny. "Lets go" she said at last.

"Yes Captain." Lucas said.

She moved off, the rest of her team should be waiting for them in the gate room.

As the two team mates walked off, John pondered as to what they would have to expect from that matching. But only time would tell as there was no other way of expecting anything just yet. With that, he turned to the chief. "Alrighty, chief. Let's go see what the hell is going on in the control room. Something tells me we have got another hiccup to deal with for today."
