| Personal History | Scarlett was born in Shropshire, England to parents Matthew and Deanna. The younger of two children. Her father was killed in action whilst serving overseas during his wife’s pregnancy, and Deanna died during childbirth. Unknown to Scarlett during her younger years her mother had become host to a Tok’ra symbiont. Deanna was a teacher of Archaeology, it was during a field trip with students that she encountered a symbiont. A captured Tok’ra symbiont held in suspension by the Goa’uld and unearthed by her dig. The military was called in, and Deanna was taken into custody, kept under medical quarantine she was host to Shani for several months before Deanna went into labour. Both Deanna, and her symbiont were too weak, both died during labour Shani giving her life to try and save Deanna. Scarlett and elder brother Michael were fostered, and eventually adopted by General Andrew Michaels, they ferried around many bases whilst growing up and eventually moved to the United States. As she grew Scarlett showed incidences of knowledge from the Symbiont her mother was once host to, which were carefully documented. She was never far from the watchful eye of the government and military. Growing up Scarlett showed little interest in the military side of life instead she leant towards civilian interests and in particular Archaeology and Linguistics. Her brother Michael on the other hand wanted to follow in their parents footsteps, and that of their adoptive father, and join the military. Upon graduation from secondary school she headed straight for University to study for her masters degree in Field Archaeology and Linguistic studies. After five years she moved onto a further eight years of studies getting a PhD. She eventually took up teaching Archaeology just like her mother. It was a year after this that Scarlett was offered a position as Archaeologist on the Stargate program, one she was only too willing to accept. |
