| Personal History | Josephine grew up in a small 2 bedroom house on the outskirts of Goshen in upstate New York. Her father was an alcoholic and her mother a sharp tongued woman with very little in the way of compassion towards their only child. Josephine retreated into a world of books and this escape paved the way for her future. Though not physically abused by her parents, the abuse was of neglect and when Josephine was 12 she removed from her parents custody and placed in a foster care situation. But Josephine didn’t last long there. She took the next step in her independence at age 16. She applied to the US Air Force Academy and spent the next 4 years studying Ancient and current languages and history in the Humanities Department. The four years did nothing to change her introverted way. She was going to be an officer, but she knew she would probably never get past the first rank. And it didn’t matter that much to her as she wanted to do research and study more languages. But after her graduation, which her parents showed up at, much to her surprise, she was transferred to the Pentagon’s linguistics department with the rank of 2nd Lieutenant and given the job of translating Aramaic and Sumerian artefacts. After 1 year of this she was offered a new role. She was briefed on a new assignment and taken to Stargate Command for briefing and training. This training was to take place at McMurdo Station’s new base. She will be trained in Stargate tech, though of course it will not to the same level as the top scientists. She is currently assigned as a linguist/Historian. One thing that will get her out of her quarters is needing to grab supplies of caffeinated beverages, like Coca cola, one of her favourite things to drink. She always stows a can or bottle in her backpack for off world missions. Special Notes: She pukes after going through the gate, no matter which direction. She is also a Coca Cola addict. It is assumed that Mouse is allergic to Naquadah. Gate Travel causes an allergic reaction which manifests itself in puking. However prolonged exposure, like constant contact with the metal, in its pure form or in the case that discovered her allergie, the Machine that is made up of it, it can cause life threatening results. The Tok'ra believe being hosted will remove this allergy. – She told the Tok’ra what they could do with that idea. Being Zatted causes mild nausea.
