Dressed in her duty uniform, which consisted of green troushers and poloneck with a green woolen jumper over the top. Her rank was displayed on her shoulders. Although she would rather have the three pipes of a British Army Captain instead of the silver bars of her host country. Shined black shoes clicked on the polished floor as she made her way to the small set of rooms that served as her teams operations, a locker room, showers, armory and a briefing room. Each was no larger than her quarters, but it was hers at any rate.

Captain Carter turned sharply and through the open door and into the staging area. She walked through the briefing room, little more than half a dozen tables and chairs. Through another door into the locker room, her gear had been deposited already but she wanted to make sure that everything was in order, she would be amiss in her duties if she didn't

"Staff" Carter she with a smile and an offered hand to shake. "Its a pleasure to meet you"

Having finished off her fitness routine Hannah was just putting her things away. She smiled as she turned to face the new arrival accepting the hand shake as she did so. “Sergeant Hannah Mattson, Field Medic. It’s nice to meet you Captain.”

Carter smiled and shock the other woman's hand before taking a seat. "You been on base long?" she asked the Staff Sergeant. She has seen a others that seemed to have been here a while, weeks at least.

Hannah nodded “A few weeks. I still seem to be one of few main Infirmary staff, they keep telling me there’ll be more arrivals soon. There’s going to need to be if I’m off planet with the team.”

Carter agreed with that statement "Where were you stationed before?" she had always been a little socially inept, at least when she was being herself and not one of the undercover personas she had developed over the years.

“I’ve been here, there and everywhere.” Hannah smiled. “I spent two years recovering from serious burns to my body before returning to my career so I’ve had to play catch up with my career really.”

Amy nodded understandingly. She had her fair share of injuries in her career. "When they attacked" he meant the Jaffa back in 2008 "My squad was at a FOB in Helmand Province, on the edge of the Green Zone." She glanced up at Hannah, "We took a beating, didn't realize at the time but 112 Jaffa warriors. We had been fighting off an attack by Taliban, it was just us and a squad of Afganies. A normal day really. But then the drop ship came in and the Taliban were suddenly belting it for our location shouting to be let in. For 4 hours we fought the alien along side enemies. It came down to hand to hand in the end and i took a staff blast to me shoulder. My Vest took the brunt of it but they had to remodel my should blade." it had all come out in a rush, all at once. The Emotion in her voice was the part she had never allowed, before to show.

Ivan, known as Hephaestus walked in the quarters belonging to the SG4 team wearing his MARSOC Marine uniform. The Sergeant rank visible on his shoulders. Once he entered the locker room he knocked on the frame of the door, waiting for the Captain to notice him before offering a brisk salute.

Hannah looked towards the doorway noticing the new arrival. She smiled politely at him as she waited for Carter to greet him.

"Come in Sergeant" Carter said with a nod. "I would prefer a more relaxed protocol if you are good with that?" She had gotten used to the lack of the stiffer natures of the British Armed Forces in the last few years. The respect was still there but you just didn't stand on ceremony.

"Sergeant Yaroslavovich" she said with ease. She spoke Russian pretty well. "Please meet Staff Sergeant Matsson, our team medic"

"Need way to refer then." The tall, gray haired man replied to Carter as he took a few steps in and nodded to his fellow Sergeant. He spoke with a rather thick Russian accent, as he continued. "Call me Hephaestus please. Or Sergeant Ivan if nicknames are no go."

Cameron moved through the base looking for where his new team was. He'd worked in small close knit teams before and he'd heard this SG team was just that. His time in the Navy was long over but it was still oddly familiar to be back on a base again. He happened to notice another man not far ahead of him so he followed. Luckily he was the same place he was going. He turned the corner and smiled, "Hi everyone. Doctor Cameron Stone." He noted the two very attractive women and his grin grew a little wider and his eyes sparkled a little brighter. "Pleasure is all mine." He finished before looking to the man next to him. "You too Sergeant."

“It’s a pleasure to meet you Hephaestus“ Hannah smiled warmly, “You too Doctor” She nodded politely to Stone. So are you a medical doctor?”

Turning to look at Stone, Hephaestus raised an eyebrow and nodded at the slightly shorter man. Then back to Hannah. "Pleasure." That was his reply before taking a step back to let the two doctors talk.

"I'm a psychologist." Cam replied to the female Sergeant. "Also specialise in languages. Yourself? What is your field?" He knew those in the armed forces could be from a number of trades.

“I’m a field medic and nurse” Hannah smiled warmly. “You’ll find me in the infirmary most of the time.” Hannah smiled warmly. “Speaking of which I’ll need both you gentlemen to drop by for your medicals when you have the chance.”

Hephaestus looked at Hannah and answered in his accented tone, shaking his head. "Ba. Been on base long time already. Got medical and gun certifications. Will bring after meeting."

"Wouldn't miss it." Cameron smirked before listening to Hephaestus.

Hannah smiled warmly at Cameron, then looked to Hephaestus. “That sounds fine to me Hephaestus” she smiled.

"Good." The aging Sergeant nods to Hannah, then turns to wait on the Captain to speak as well.

She smiled warmly at them. They were already starting to jell as a team. "We might not get the time before we are deployed, but while we are on base our duty time will be split. Half will be devoted to your base duties, if you have them, quarter will be small and large unit drills and the rest will be spent together learning. We have a lot to learn and catch up on. We will study the reports coming from the other teams, reports from those other bases off world. We need to know, at the drop of the hat what other teams are doing in case we need to pick up where they left or if we have to go in and provide support." She looked around at the three of them. "Questions?"

“No questions here” Hannah smiled. “My brother Lucas has me training as often as he can, he’s taught me firearms and self defence. I’m happy to brush up on anything else I might need.”

Hephaestus raised a hand before speaking. "Have base duties, engineering department." It wasn't really a question, more like a statement, but he hoped it sent the message across. He will help and be part of the team, as long as he can take time off when needed to tend go the good maintenance of equipment. That always soothed him.

"No questions, Captain. I know my base duties will be split between psychology appointments and my devoted time to linguistics." Cameron spoke confidently. "I'm looking forward to getting back into some training. Don't get me wrong I keep up my fitness and small arms training so I'm looking forward to getting into a bit more."

"I am thinking" she said to the Russian Sergeant "Normal duty shift 4 days of the week, plus two hours in the class room. Fridays are training days. But only 6 hours, unless its a long weekend."

"Yes. Sounds good. Thank you Captain." Hephaestus nodded at Carter and relaxed s little bit more. He could work with that arrangement just fine.

Ayana arrived with Duke in tow, holding a folder under one arm, annoyed that Supply hadn't prepared her new fatigues, so she was still in the ones used by the IDF - a solid color that was a mix of brown and olive drab, along with a matching wool sweater that was only ever issued to the Alpine Unit, and a red beret under the right shoulder strap. Her boots were brown instead of black, further setting her apart for the moment.

"Excuse me?" She said in lightly accented English, "Lieutenant Ayana Lavi. I hope I'm in the right place, still getting my bearings."

Duke stayed by her, looking at each person in the room. Since no one seemed to be acting aggressively, the Belgian Malinois's tail wagged slightly at the prospect of meeting new people.

Hannah smiled warmly at the new arrival. “If you’re looking for SG4 then you’re in the right place.” She cautiously approached not wanting to alarm the beautiful dog at the Lieutenant’s side, she offered her hand from a short distance away for the dog to sniff and choose if she was worthy of attention. “You have a beautiful dog.”

Turning to look at the newcomer, Hephaestus nodded and remained silent. A dog, he really couldn't care much for them, too much effort to look after one. A machine was much more efficient and easier to maintain.

"Come in Ayana" Amy said "Welcome to the rest of the team. These are our official home while on base. Locker room, briefing room, staging area and classroom/general office." Her office was else where in the base, along with the other junior officers. Was a little annoying frankly but it was what it was.

"Thank you." Ayana said, "And this is Duke, he's been with me since my last posting. He's a working dog, trained more as a search dog though."

Duke sniffed the offered hand, looking at Ayana for a second. She said something in Hebrew to him, and he stepped up more, putting his head under Hannah's hand to let her pet him.

"I told him you're okay. He's still getting used to things, never saw snow before. He won't bite unless I tell him to." Ayana explained, "But yes, I'm Lieutenant Ayana Lavi, IDF...if the uniform didn't give it away. A pleasure to meet you all."

All Hephaestus did was grunt and nod towards Ayana and her dog.

"Nice to meet you too, Lieutenant Lavi." Cameron said looking down at the dog. "And this guy." He said in reference to the dog.

Hannah finished petting Duke and stood up. “It’s nice to have you with us Lieutenant. I’m Hannah Matsson, the team field medic.”

"I'm glad to be working with you all. I think in reality, they wanted Duke more than me, my background more is in counter-terrorism and urban warfare, but I know how to handle things where finding injured and missing personnel are concerned. Not as a full on medic, but given I spent a good deal of time in a recon battalion, we learned quick how to operate ahead of the supply chain." Ayana said.

Duke started to make his rounds, sniffing each team member and then around the staging room.

"He's just getting his bearings right now." Ayana explained.

Hannah smiled. “This’ll be the first time I’ve worked alongside a rescue dog, I’m sure he’ll come in very useful.”

Carter did reach down and fuss Duke. She had met him, and his Handler before so she felt safe enough to do so. "We have a briefing tomorrow" she pointed to the wall mounted monitor which right now was displaying the menu from the bases messhall. "Exact time will be up there when i know when it is. You all need to be there. As i am assuming we will be off world shortly after make sure your gear is in order, that you have everything and that the Armory has your weapons ready. Leave nothing to the last minute." She made sure to look at each of them, seeing them nod their understanding.

"Okay. I have work to do, so i will leave you to your own until tomorrow." she nodded one last time then turned on her heal and headed back to her office.
